Method

  1. Wash the rice thoroughly and soak it in water for 30 minutes.

  8. Add the drained rice and mix well. Add water and mix again.
  9. Bring the mixture to a boil and then reduce the heat to low. Cover the pot and let it simmer for 15-20 minutes or until the rice is cooked.
  10. Once the rice is cooked, turn off the heat and sprinkle grated cheese on top.
  11. Cover the pot and let it sit for 2-3 minutes or until the cheese melts.
  12. Give it a gentle stir and serve hot.
