- Wash the rice thoroughly and soak it in water for 30 minutes.

- Add the drained rice and mix well. Add water and mix again.
- Bring the mixture to a boil and then reduce the heat to low. Cover the pot and let it simmer for 15-20 minutes or until the rice is cooked.
- Once the rice is cooked, turn off the heat and sprinkle grated cheese on top.
- Cover the pot and let it sit for 2-3 minutes or until the cheese melts.
- Give it a gentle stir and serve hot.
