Method
- Wash the rice and soak it in water for 20 minutes.
- Heat oil in a pressure cooker.
- Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
- Add chopped onions and green chilies. Sauté until onions turn golden brown.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for 1-2 minutes.
- Add chopped capsicum and sauté for 2-3 minutes.
- Add coriander powder, garam masala, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Mix well.
- Add soaked rice and mix well.
- Add 2 cups of water and mix well.
- Cover the pressure cooker with the lid and cook on medium flame for 2 whistles.
- Turn off the flame and let the pressure release naturally.
- Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
