- 1 large head of cabbage
- 1 pound of ground beef
- 1/2 cup of diced onion
- 1/2 cup of diced green pepper
- 1/2 cup of diced celery
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup of tomato sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon of paprika

Method
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Fill a large pot with water and bring to a boil.
- Remove the outer leaves of the cabbage and discard.
- Cut the core out of the cabbage and discard.
- Place the cabbage in the pot of boiling water and cook for 10-15 minutes or until the leaves are soft and pliable.
- Remove the cabbage from the water and let cool.
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, onion, green pepper, celery, egg, tomato sauce, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Mix well.
- Take one cabbage leaf and place a spoonful of the meat mixture in the center.
- Roll the cabbage leaf around the filling, tucking in the sides as you go.
- Place the cabbage roll seam side down in a baking dish.
- Repeat with the remaining cabbage leaves and meat mixture.
- Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 1 hour.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until the tops of the cabbage rolls are browned.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
