The ingredients required for making Burnt Garlic Rice are:- 2 cups Basmati Rice
- 4 cups Water
- 1/4 cup Oil
- 10-12 cloves Garlic, chopped
- 1 Onion, chopped
- 1 Carrot, chopped
- 1 Capsicum, chopped
- Salt to taste
- 1 tsp Black Pepper Powder
- 1 tbsp Soy Sauce
- 1 tbsp Vinegar
- 2-3 Green Chillies, chopped
- 2 Spring Onions, chopped

Method
1. Rinse the rice and soak it in water for 30 minutes. Drain the water and keep the rice aside. 2. Heat oil in a heavy-bottomed pan and add chopped garlic. Fry until the garlic turns brown and crispy. 3. Transfer the burnt garlic to a bowl and keep aside. 4. In the same pan, add chopped onions and fry until they turn translucent. 5. Add chopped carrots and capsicum and fry for a few minutes. 6. Add the soaked rice and fry for a few minutes. 7. Add water, salt, and black pepper powder. Mix well and bring it to a boil. 8. Cover the pan with a lid and let it cook on low flame for 15-20 minutes or until the rice is cooked. 9. Once the rice is cooked, add soy sauce, vinegar, chopped green chillies, and chopped spring onions. Mix well. 10. Finally, add the burnt garlic and mix well.Notes
- Make sure to soak the rice for at least 30 minutes before cooking.
- Do not overcook the rice, as it will become mushy.
